Rhetorical Answers-Responses to Questions never before asked

Cruising through the related links on YouTube today I was presented with a link to a song by Korn called “Evolution” which basically was trying to emphasize the point that human intelligence is declining rapidly as time goes on because of advances in medical care, the whole idea of nature, food chain, survival of the fittest have gone completely out the window and it seems to me that it’s the reason why 20 percent of Americans cant point to the united states on a map and why miss South Carolina thinks its cos they don’t have maps and it’s the educations systems fault. I’m not 100% sure but I’m pretty sure that those people who know where countries are don’t just happened to have maps on hand, but anyway the music video for the song has this amazing chart that shows the new and “Improved” Evolution of Man XD so what it now shows is

1. Monkey (Or ape if you’re one of those anal people who honors the difference-It’s just a tail not that big a deal)

2. Hunched over monkey man thing (Not sure if the missing link is between these first two or not)

3. Almost upright standing monkey man with spear

4. Upright (Enviously muscly) Tribal fella with spear

Then instead of the usual deal it’s:

5. Slightly hunched over again muscly chap with a shovel

6. Very hunched over Monkey Fella with a golf bag over his back (Which I thought was hilarious)

7. Super hunched fella who’s sitting in chair on a laptop with his face buried in the screen (which is incidentally what I am while writing this but I am going run around the house playing guitar afterwards so I’m making an effort)

8. AND FINALLY…Back to square one (SO were all screwed XD)

And in the background some priest gets up in the middle of the meeting where the graph is being shown and he gets all pissed off and storms out……………… well it left me laughing XD

So this all got me thinking and I then picked up this Christmas card and it had a hilarious twist, the caption just read “Nothing clever, nothing funny, Just some extra spending money” XD and for no reason at all I started to think “I would of said Witty instead of clever” then that led to thinking (For no reason at all) that knowing what the world is like these days and how ridiculous people can be, I was almost certain that the Hallmark Greeting Card Co. or whatever it’s called probably got a good group of about 12-20 board executives out of bed at an unholy hour on a Saturday morning for an emergency meeting to discuss such an issue and I’d imagine that the main concern was whether or not it’s better to say “clever” or witty. Both words fit the rhyming scheme perfectly (although when moneys involved I doubt it would have made a difference). They both have more or less the same meaning and they both get the same basic point across… “But wait” says the chief card thinker upper/designer as he’s lying awake in bed, “What if people don’t get it”… “What if they don’t understand”… he suddenly explodes out of bed in a blind panic “I HAVE TO GET TO THE OFFICE QUICK”. So he then he makes a flock of very tired interns conduct a survey to see what percentage of Americans (Using as example cos it’s relevant to earlier examples, not picking on anyone… Even though *Cough* *Throat clear*) actually understand each word. So the results come back saying that 55.5% understand both, 30% only understand “Clever” and 14.5% only understand “Witty”. So NOW the big time executive can relax because NOW he knows that he has a potential option to make an 85.5% profit margin as opposed to a 70% profit and that’s an A+++ in his eyes so he’s more than willing to pay the price… and what is the price you ask… well this is Rhetorical Answers so you didn’t ask so I’m going to tell you… The price is human intelligence (I exaggerate to prove a point) but this is where it all starts. When corporations opt to indulge ignorance they make it Ok for people to not know things they should or be as healthy or fit as they should and then it all spirals out of control and standards are dropped all over the world and we do eventually slip from stage 7 down to that all disappointing stage 8 in which we drive to neighbors houses, hire child minders to look after kids who have an unemployed parent just hanging around the house and eat food off of paper plates so we don’t have to clean them and right there I can see 3 of the world’s most important resources wasted

1. Trees used to make the paper plates

2. Oil used to move this particular person’s lazy arse 10 feet across the road and to make up the plastic on all the likely T.V dinners that are being consumed (Instead of going out and hunting a deer like really survivalists do)

3. The time that you have paid some other poor human being to waste to loom after your child when you could just as easily do yourself at the cost of 8 hours less spent on the living room couch and that person could be doing something useful or even getting their own lives in a little more order

I was going to mention the waste of money both in section point 1 and in general but that whole deal is such a joke right now that I’m not going to give it the credit

SO…… What’s the meaning of all this……. Well…… ITS A FREAKING GREETING CARD VERY FEW PEOPLE READ THEM ANYWAY a majority of people who get them in bulk are under 18s on birthdays and such and all they do is shake em out for cash and this card in particular wasn’t meant to be anything more than that anyway SO STOP UNDERESTIMATING PEOPLES INTELLIGENCE they can be smarter than you thing, No not all of us have that extra grey matter to fly to the moon, but we probably built the ship you took no hesitation in taking the credit for and we did a bang up job on top of that (I’m not a rocket engineer with a grudge by the way I’m 17 XD) So give us some Funking credit and stop babying us….

Side Thought: We are all descendant from apes… Descendant = Descend… Descend = Down Have we actually been de-evolving ever since that first cell or bacteria or whatever crawled out of the ocean and formed a simian like being are apes and monkeys actually superior to us… Maybe they are after all they live in harmony with the earth instead of funking it up and they don’t kill each other in large organized groups like we do (If they do at least not on the same scale or over something as stupid as land THERES LOADS OF IT CALM DOWN) so why is it that we’ve “Evolved” into these whiney, fragile, lazy buggers who do nothing but make life more difficult for the other species hanging around??? I will leave that question to you…

And finally yes I am an Evolutionist, I’m not denying the existence of a god or gods but if the whole Adam and Eve deal is right then I can see why we as people are so screwed up because by my calculations that’s an awful lot of incest needed for populating the planet.
